Best known and grown as fantastic foliage for shady gardens, hosta flowers come on tall spikes in late spring or summer and point to the reason we refer to it as a type of lily. Tubular blooms in colors of pale lavender to white are attractive to bees and hummingbirds; many varieties have very fragrant flowers that also do well in bouquets and flower arrangements.
Care Many varieties do best in shade but some cultivars can also tolerate sun; average soil and moisture requirements. Control slugs in garden to keep foliage in perfect condition; also a great container plant.Care
