A low-growing, clumping evergreen that is excellent as a ground cover, lawn substitute in containers or in mass plantings. Color range includes dark green, variegated, or black foliage with each plant producing a small purple flower spike in summer followed by a colorful berry. Comes in variety of sizes including dwarfs.
Care: full sun shade with moist, humus-rich soil; slow to get established, spreads well but is not invasive. Low maintenance, deer resistant and can help control erosion.Care
