An attractive mounding grass with fuzzy flower-like seed heads that stand up above the foliage and are long lasting. It looks lovely in a sunny border or when added to container plantings for grace & texture. Varieties available include dwarf forms and ones with colorful foliage & flowers.
Care: this deciduous grass does best in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerant of heat and drought. It turns yellow after the first frost and eventually a buff color for winter; cut back to ground in late winter or early spring but leave seed heads on if you like to attract birds to your garden. A Great Plant Pick.
