Cannas have large bold leaves with an upright habit topped by bright, showy flowers in shades of red, orange, yellow, pink or white. They make a beautiful backdrop in the landscape or a stunning feature in container plantings. Usually blooming outdoors June – October, good cut flower, attractive to humming birds and butterflies.
Care: full sun, well-draining soil in winter (many varieties tolerate shallow, standing water during summer growing season), grows up to 6 feet tall by 3-4 feet wide, mulch up to 6” deep for winter protection in ground or dig rhizomes and store in protected area. Apply slow-release balanced fertilizer regularly during growing season. Protect from slugs.Care
