Akebia/Chocolate Vine (Akebia quiata)

Semi-evergreen, vigorous & easy to grow in sun or shade providing quick coverage of a fence, arbor, or unsightly view. Fragrant flowers in cream, light pink or burgundy in spring (May) can ripen to strange-looking, edible fruits if 2 varieties are planted. Foliage is a nice green color and uniquely shaped.

Care: best in ½ day of sun but tolerant of sun or shade and wide range of well-draining soils; easy to grow, semi-evergreen, edible, fragrant & spring blooming, quickly grows to 10-20 feet or more & tolerant of pruning.
