Garden Classes & Workshops

Grow your gardening knowledge with Dennis’ 7 Dees! Our three garden centers in Lake Oswego, Cedar Hills, and Seaside, OR offer free seminars and hands-on workshops every week throughout the year to help you succeed in your garden. Whether you’re first trying out your green thumb or are a seasoned gardener, our classes and events will give you lots of great ideas and unique ways to express your creativity.

At Dennis’ 7 Dees, we have a passion for plants, and we want to share it with our friendly neighbors and communities. From learning how to care for roses to growing your own edible garden and everything in between, you’re sure to find something fun and educational for you and your family.

Indoor Kokedama Workshop

This recently re-popularized, ancient botanic art form uses moss to encase a plant’s roots and is wrapped with twine instead of using a pot. Meet Instructor Nicole Forbes

Nicole has lived & gardened in Portland for more than 20 years and started working for Dennis Seven Dees in the late 1990s. She has experience in nearly every retail garden center job position that exists but has found her niche in teaching gardening classes and hosting events like our Annual Tomato Tasting. Nicole's love of plants and people is evident in her fun and energetic teaching style. She also writes many of our blog articles and helps with employee training at the garden centers.
