Kids Gardening Club

Join us for a fun, educational program focusing on gardening and basic plant care. Each month we will focus on a different topic related to plants and gardening, every child who participates will take something home after each meeting for further learning opportunities.  There will be a $5 charge per child per meeting to cover cost of materials.

Introduction to native plants and what the term means; learn how pollination works, who does it and why; take a walk through the nursery looking for pollinators; discover how to attract beneficial insects and pollinators; plant a sunflower seed to take home or make a bug box to observe bugs.

Learn about what food crops gardeners can grow in our area and when and how they grow; discuss varieties of herbs available and learn to identify 5 herbs by sight and smell; learn the difference between annual and perennial plants; take home a basil or parsley plant to grow at home.
