With over three acres of plants, flowers, and trees in the heart of Powell, our SE Portland Garden Center is the largest of our four nursery locations. You’ll enjoy friendly, expert advice and a one-year guarantee on your plants. As is fitting for the City of Roses, our Portland nursery location carries more than 400 rose varieties to choose from. We have so many different categories of roses that you’re bound to find one you’ve never seen or heard of before.

Our plant nursery is also home to a wide variety of shade plants that work well in large backyards, in small gardens, and in front yards lining driveways and sidewalks. The Japanese Maple, Corsican Mint, and Goats Beard are all popular selections that provide color and beauty in varying shapes and sizes. Powell’s excellent plant variety coupled with easy access and ample parking make this the store for savvy Portlanders.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener who enjoys growing your own food, or you’re just starting out in the world of edible gardening, we’re here to help. Our knowledgeable staff can help you choose the best plants for your needs, and teach you about proper care. Our selection of high-quality edible plants for sale includes cucumbers, lettuce, peas, tomatoes, blueberries, cherries, and strawberries. We even carry hard-to-find choices like figs, olives, persimmons, and tea plants. Edible plants are remarkably easy to plant and care for, and many thrive in potted containers, making them ideal for apartments and condos.

The finest landscaping Portland Oregon has to offer can be found right in your own backyard with the help of our expert horticulturists and lawn care professionals. Sixty years as a locally owned, family-run business has given us the expertise to assist customers with projects big and small, whether they bring the concepts to us or we develop the landscaping ideas for them.

Come in today and allow us to help you bring your backyard ideas to life through outdoor lighting installations, patios and paths, decks, fire pits, and custom water features. Our Portland nursery is conveniently located in the Southeast neighborhood with ample, easily accessible parking for your shopping trips.

We used 7 Dees when we landscaped our front lawn. We used planscaper, where you submit the diagram of your space, then meet with a designer who addresses your specific needs (like amount of upkeep, seasonal variation, etc). John drew up a design we liked and helped us to tweek it and pick the plants that he, with his Ent-like wisdom, could tell were the best. Read More
