What is biophilia or biophilic design anyway?

Not only are the addition of plants in an office environment proven to add health benefits but they also add life and beauty to the space for your employees, clients and guests to enjoy. Our Urban Plantscapes division works with businesses throughout the Portland area to enhance work environments with the addition of interior plants. Meet Karin Horn

Designer & Manager of Urban Plantscapes - a division of Dennis' 7 Dees

Karin has over 30 years of industry experience and business ownership. As a Registered Trainer for Green Plants for Green Buildings (GPGB), Karin offers CEU training for design professionals to earn continuing education credits required to maintain their state and national licenses.  Her expertise lies in sustainable design and practices and such topics as; living walls, green roofs and how the understanding and implementation of biophilia design (our innate desire to seek connections with nature),  can improve the bottom line in the work environment. 

Urban Plantscapes provides a turn-key service for seamless interior and exterior container horticultural design and on-going care for business in the Portland area.  Karin is also an expert in the field of commercial holiday décor design and installation. She brings new fresh ideas and best practices that will add value to the many services provided by our teams.

Her passion for the horticultural and special event design industries, and focus on  providing the best in class service is a perfect fit with the Dennis’ 7 Dees family of professionals.
